One of Francisco's greatest passions regarding government is our foundational document, The Constitution. Within this document are the guiding principles for state and national government, and therefore it stands as a plumb line for governing. Owing to the importance of the constitution, Francisco is an active member of the Constitution Committee of the United States. Additionally, Francisco is part of the advisory board for the West Palm Beach Chapter of the James Madison Institute.
Answer: They (Congress and the President) don’t know, but health is something they should manage, regulate and control…in their mind.
Florida Attorney General might understand the Constitution better than many Congressional leaders.
The goal of the Health Care Bill in Congress seems to focus on insurance for US citizens through use of federal coercion, however the goal of the Founding Fathers in drafting the Constitution was to have a government that was strong enough to stay within the enumerated powers rather than balloon to the size we see our federal government today…in short, the Constitution avoids “Health Care” on purpose.
In District 83 and in the Florida House of Representatives I hope to play a role in reinstating the power of the states to limit the unconstitutional powers of the federal government so that citizens can experience the value of free ideas to determine the destiny of themselves and their families. Health is a personal area of life that should not be managed by people far away from you and your doctor…it should only be managed by you (and anyone of your family, friends, etc. you like) and your doctor. Your uncle Joe is welcome if you want him to join you at the doctor’s office, but Uncle Sam is not invited (or allowed) to manage your health.
